030 Doorway : Carriageworks Theatre Academy and Theatre Company Blah Blah Blah

Young People from the newly-formed Theatre Academy present Doorway, an interactive, devised performance which opens the door to scenes of hidden, imagined and surreal Leeds.

30 Young People aged between 10 and 16 will be working with the Blahs in devising Doorway, their first performance as members of the Theatre Academy. We are asking the young people to think about their city and how they would like to see it in a new light. What would they like to see if they opened a door in the middle of Millennium Square?

The Theatre Company Blah Blah Blah are based in Leeds and have over twenty-two years experience working with young people. They aim to provide young people with a quality theatrical experience, designed to explore and question the world in which they live and their relationship to it. They are working in partnership with The Carriageworks to create new and imaginative work with the Theatre Academy.
