The city seems familiar to you. But you only see the surface. There is another world behind this thin veneer that is constantly shifting, rearranging. You pass by every day and barely notice. Buildings crumble and corrode. Nature reclaims what is rightfully hers. From this senescence comes beauty, shape, form, texture. Patterns emerge. Light. Darkness.                    

The collection of photographs was taken in and around Leeds between 2006 – 2009. They are part of an ongoing project to capture a side of the city that is rarely seen and often ignored.

About Me: I have been taking photos for as long as I can remember. I have always loved the idea of capturing a moment, a feeling, a mood and having it frozen forever, able to return to it whenever I like.
